From textile waste to new solutions: Re:inventex at the "Green Transition" conference

On April 10, 2025, Re:inventex Development Manager Tetiana Pushkarova took part in the interregional conference "Green Transition," held at the Kalynivka Vocational Technological College in Vinnytsia region. The event became a real celebration of sustainable development for the textile and fashion industries, uniting representatives from business, education, government, and innovation sectors.

The conference was initiated by the Ukrainian Association of Light Industry Enterprises (Ukrlegprom) in partnership with Re:inventex, with active involvement of the college leadership. The program featured expert talks, the opening of a new sewing laboratory, a student fashion collection show, and a visit to the Kalyna manufacturing facility.

At the core of the event was the question: how can the textile and fashion industry transform to meet modern challenges such as digitalization, environmental responsibility, education development, and production automation? In her speech, Tetiana Pushkarova emphasized the importance of circular economy and textile waste recycling in the context of new EU environmental requirements. She also shared Re:inventex’s experience in implementing sustainable production practices and developing partnership models with Ukrainian garment manufacturers.

Other keynote speakers included Tetiana Izovit (Ukrlegprom), Iryna Daus (INTELLTEX), Hanna Shchutska (KFCPN), and Taras Prytula (SOFTORG). Their presentations covered automation, digital design, meta-skills, and technological transformation in manufacturing. All participants agreed: Ukraine's textile and fashion industry has strong potential and can become a model of resilience and renewal.

A vibrant finale of the event was a student fashion show featuring collections made from recycled materials and an award ceremony for participants of the eco-challenge. As a practical highlight, attendees visited the Kalyna factory—member of Ukrlegprom—which sets an example of ecological responsibility in production.

Re:inventex expresses gratitude to the organizers for the opportunity to be part of this event. For us, it’s not just inspiration—it’s another step toward making textile waste recycling the rule, not the exception. Ahead lies more collaboration, new partnerships, and sustainable solutions.
